The Bottom Line’s Paul McBeth and New Zealand Shareholders’ Association chief executive Oliver Mander return with The Long and the Short of It, where they discuss the latest goings-on in marketland.

This week, Oliver looks at the failed Firmus initial public offering across the Tasman, what went wrong and the many things that investors need to question when something new comes to market.

He reflects on Forsyth Barr’s thought experiment on a possible merger between Argosy Property and Stride Property, and the wider issues investors need to think about when it comes to property.

And Tāiko Critical Minerals is on track with its West Coast project and continued to deliver on the expectations it set when it went public earlier this year.

Paul can confirm that the weekend was a success.
